Living this life is the strangest of things
When what puts you through motions, are unnatural feelings.
I don’t really care what other people have to say about me
Living in this world when what is cool is what is startling
And people acting crazy, just to get a look or two
Why so dramatic people, why can’t we just live?
I hate to get caught up inside these artificial lives
When these political agendas make out Yankee brothers fight
And now the world is turning bad when we’ve got so much good to give
I just don’t get it people, why can’t we just live?
Living this life, is the strangest of things

All you can do is put a smile on your face
Adn realize that good will always prevail
And take you to, a better place.
I sometimes fear to think that maybe no one understands
That being positive in life will get you twice more good than bad
And you’re white-knuckled now with fear that we won’t forget and then forgive
Why not let go of it people, and it makes you want to live.
I really do believe that people want to realize
That animosity can’t happen if our race is to survive
As is the nature of the people, we will follow what to do
The light is shining through the doorway, we just need to be led through.
Somewhere out there, there’s a place I should be
Where the people, religiously live life honestly
And all you can do is keep a smile on your face
And realize that good will always prevail
And take you to, a better place.
